TRAGAST Bulletin - June 2025 (Jun. 01, 2025)

Coordinator's Corner

May 2025 brought us our 1st Awareness Event in Chiang Rai. See the story below.

We are also in the last stages of preparation for an event where we partner with the Chiang Mai Airport Rotary Club to support the Mae Tao Clinic. See "PANEL DISCUSSION - Humanitarian Crisis" below.

On 22 and 23 July TRAGAST will sponsor 2 performances of "Restive Souls" in Chiang Mai. Having attended their reading on 31 May, I can tell you that this is going to be one very powerful performance.

Early plans are also underway to sponsor an awareness event at Artmai Gallery Hotel in Chiang Mai on 12 July.

Perhaps most importantly, at our 9 June TRAGAST meeting we will discuss the future of TRAGAST including a proposed Zone 10 team, strategic plan and budget.

10 May 2025, Chiang Rai Human Trafficking Awareness Event

Posted by Jerry Nelson

On 10 May 2025 TRAGAST hosted a special event to raise awareness of human trafficking featuring the film The Sound of Freedom. This was our first event that was done in Chiang Rai and the 1st done in conjunction with a school. It was a great success.

Congratulations with Samuel Ames, a 10th grade student at Chiang Rai International Christian School (CRICS). He was our "boots on the ground" preparing for the event and did a sterling job. Those who attended were very pleased with the film and the pot luck dinner.
